Bourbon

Bourbon is long associated with Kentucky, but it’s roots trace back to America’s East Coast settlers – the farmers of Pennsylvania and Maryland, seeking a way to turn leftover crops to profit. Through migration, prohibition, legislation, decline and growth, the history of Bourbon has fluctuated with the times, but what hasn’t changed is the popularity of this most famous of American distillates. Produced from 51-80% corn, distilled no higher than 80% abv, aged in new charred American white-oak casks, and with nothing added except water, you’ll nonetheless discover a wealth of different flavours and character on offer in a wide selection of Bourbon, now made in almost every corner of the States.
